ABOUT THE VENUE
NEW VISIONS For Music & Sound takes place at the historical Pfefferberg Areal. It used to be the oldest brewery in today's Prenzlauer Berg district in Berlin.
Founded in 1841 by master brewer Josef Pfeffer as a brewery and one of Berlin's first beer gardens on the Pfefferberg. The site comprises over 20 buildings and reflects Berlin's architectural and industrial history. Since Pfeffer's time, the Pfefferberg can look back on an illustrious history.
After several changes of ownership, Schultheiss-Brauerei AG ceased operations in 1921. The ensemble was then used for a variety of purposes, including food production for chocolate and bread baked, wartime electronics and as an air raid shelter during the Second World War. Later the newspaper "Neues Deutschland" was printed here and in the 1990s, the dilapidated Pfefferberg developed into a socio-cultural center after the fall of the Berlin Wall.
In 2007, reconstruction work began on the building in keeping with its listed status, combining old and new building materials and highlighting the history of the site. Between 2011 and 2013, the ensemble was carefully renovated, restoring its former beauty. In 2013, the taproom and the Pfefferberg Theater opened, and beer is once again brewed on site.

Finding a parking space in the city center is a matter of luck, we recommend using public transport. Parking spaces in the surrounding area are usually subject to a charge.
Take the U2 until the subway station "Senefelder Platz".
ACCESSIBILITY
The the subway station "Senefelder Platz" has an elevator at the north exit of the platform.
Pfefferberg is accessible via an eleveator at the Schönhauser Allee main entrance.
Access with a wheelchair is also possible via Christinenstraße 18/19.
There are 1-2 disabled parking spaces on Schönhauser Allee.
The Pfefferberg Theater and Haus 13 have an automatic doors and barrier-free access at the entrance.
The bathroom is wheelchair-accessible.
Unfortunately, animals of any kind may not be taken into the venues.
When purchasing a discounted ticket for a person with a disability (e.g. proof of a B in the ID card), a free ticket can be booked for the accompanying person.
