CTO | MOTH QUANTUM
Spencer Topel is a technologist, artist, researcher, and entrepreneur is the acting CTO of Moth Quantum, and is the founder/co-founder of Physical Synthesis and Electron Robotics.
He is previously a professor of music and technology at Dartmouth College, and has produced numerous publications and patents involving a wide range of topics including human-machine interfaces, interactive systems, signal processing, machine learning, autonomous robotics, and electromechanical systems.
A pivotal moment in his career was the artist-in-residence at the Yale Quantum Institute in 2018-19, where he and his team of physicists produced the first music synthesizers from hardware qubits. This work lead to further publications and research into quantum simulation of variational quantum circuits and quantum machine learning.
